In the 2016 census, the population was estimated to be 509. South Warnborough is approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) south of the village of Odiham and 6 miles (9.7 km) north of the town of Alton. Other neighbouring settlements include the villages of Upton Grey to the west and Long Sutton to the east.
